Integrative Medicine

Health is the Real Wealth

What is Integrative medicine?

Integrative Medicine is healing-oriented medicine that takes into account the whole person, including all aspects of lifestyle. It emphasizes the therapeutic relationship between practitioner and patient, is informed by evidence, and makes use of all appropriate therapies.

Integrative Medicine is about changing the focus in medicine to one of health and healing rather than disease.

Integration

Integrative medicine involves using the best possible treatments for both alternative medicine and allopathic medicine based on the patient's individual needs and conditions. This selection should be based on good science and neither rejects conventional medicine or uncritically excepts alternative practices. It integrates successfully from both worlds and is tailored to the patient's needs using the safest, least invasive, most cost-effective approach while incorporating a holistic understanding of the individual.

There are several primary goals in integration medicine, including hormone balancing, healthy gut and immune function, healthy body composition and nutrition, and regular exercise. To ensure you reach these goals a Harmony Health Provider will design a personalized treatment plan that’s right for you.

Before creating your plan, the team uses a combination of different testing services to identify your needs and deficiencies which may include some or all of the following;

  • Thorough health history

  • Physical assessment

  • Nutritional/lifestyle assessment

  • Stool test (Gut Health)

  • Blood tests

  • Urine tests

  • Nutritional deficiency testing

  • Hormone evaluation

Once the root cause of your condition is determined, the team can identify dietary treatments, supplements, and lifestyle changes that can help improve your overall health.
